Tour Scotland photograph of a painting by Samuel Reid, who was born in 1854 in Aberdeen, Scotland. Samuel was educated in Aberdeen and London, England, he won a gold medal at Crystal Palace Exhibition in 1899. He was an oil and watercolour artist, writer and poet who exhibited at the Royal Academy, The Royal Scottish Academy, Glasgow Institute, Royal Society of Watercolours. He lived for a period in Glasgow. He died in 1919.
