Tour Scotland Photograph Painting By Flora Macdonald Reid


Tour Scotland photograph of a painting by Flora Macdonald Reid, who was born in 1861 in London, England, to Scottish parents, and the family later moved to Edinburgh, Scotland. She was the sister of the artists John Robertson Reid and Elizabeth Reid. At the age of sixteen she exhibited work at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts from the age of 19, and the Royal Academy from age of 20. Reid travelled and lived in Norway, France & Belgium, and was in 1900 awarded a gold medal at the Exposition Universelle in 1900 in Paris. She died in 1938.
