Tour Scotland Video Bust Of Homer Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum Glasgow
Tour Scotland video of the bust statue of Homer in Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on ancestry visit to Glasgow, Scotland. The sculptor was Sir William Hamo Thornycroft, born 1850, died 1925. He was the son of London based sculptors Thomas and Mary Thornycroft, he trained with his father and assisted him on the Commerce group for the Albert Memorial and the Park Lane Fountain, London, England, before entering the RA Schools in 1869. Winning the Gold Medal, 1875, he later received numerous commissions for public monuments throughout Britain and the Empire.
