Tour Scotland Video Spring Drive From Perth To Scone Perthshire

Tour Scotland video of a Spring drive over Smeaton's Bridge from Perth to Scone Perthshire, Scotland. The medieval village of Scone, which grew up around the monastery and royal residence, was abandoned in the early 19th century when the residents were removed. The new village was built in 1805 as a planned village and was originally called New Scone, but is now officially called Scone. Smeaton's Bridge was completed in October 1771, which places it in the Georgian era; however, its plaque states the year in which construction began, 1766, as its " built " date. The engineer of its construction was John Smeaton, after whom the bridge is named.
