There is a large dining room for relaxed entertaining, a fully equipped kitchen and two well presented double bedrooms offering comfortable accommodation for 4 guests. A large, attractive garden with outside seating provides a glorious spot to watch the sun set over Floors Castle and the hills beyond, while Kelso’s shops, pubs and restaurants are all within a short walk from the property including access to a super network of riverside walks and trails. Kelso is a busy market town with plenty of pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Arguably one of the prettiest Scottish Border towns it sits next to the River Tweed and is popular with fishermen, and women, fishing the Tweed for Salmon. The streets of the town are cobbled and there are many interesting shops to browse in. During the summer Floors Castle is a major tourist attraction and there are many events held at Springwood Park, home to the Border Union Show. Kelso Racecourse, located a short distance away, is known as Britain's Friendliest Racecourse and is a great days racing.

River Cottage is 2 miles from Kelso, about half a mile from Kelso Racecourse, Detatched property with 3 double bedrooms, 1 king size bed, plus four single beds these beds are all comfortable top quality, new deep beds. Bed settee for two if needed. Cot and high chair available on request. Property has full Gas central heating. Two lounges one with a woodburning stove. Large dining kitchen with farmhouse table seats 8, with french doors leading directly onto the garden with views of the river and open views of the countryside. Fully fitted brand new kitchen, with dishwasher, dual fuel range cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine. Large garden. Main bathroom with bath and a thermostatic mains shower, plus WC and wash hand basin there ia also a separate SECOND wc and wash hand basin. Large flat screen TV and DVD player. All new carpets, and curtains etc. Utility room, ironing board and iron. Plenty of off the road car parking within the grounds. External heated locked rod store and drying room available on request, boot room for sports equipment, wellie boots, bicycles etc. Ideal for fishing, Golfing, walking and riding holidays. Kelso golf course and Kelso racecourse nearby. As this property is detatched and facing south it benefits from the sun and the natural light, this is a light bright property, as well as having exceptional country views. Ideal for Salmon fishing men being close to the Tweed, and the borders union showground. Also close to Floors Castle, Golf Courses in and around Kelso and Kelso Racecourse. The area is renowned for great hill walking along the Pennine Way, Dere street the Old Roman Road, The Southern Upland Way and The Abbeys Way.
