The Loft is a welcoming end of terrace cottage, on a working livestock farm, situated just three miles from the historic town of Annan. The cottage is a former 19th Century stable block, which has been renovated to a good standard to provide a light and airy open plan living area with a well equipped fitted kitchen area and sitting area that has wonderful picture windows, which overlook the farm. This cottage sleeps four and has two bedrooms - one double and one single, plus there are many shared on-site facilities including a hot tub, games room, children's playground and gardens. There are many attractions and places to visit nearby, such as Annan with its links to history, and walkers, cyclists and golfers are all well catered for with many walks, cycle tracks and golf courses in the area. The breathtaking Lake District and Hadrian's Wall are within driving distance. Amenities: Oil central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/cassette/radio, library of books & DVDs. Fuel & power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Situated on the banks of the River Annan, the historic town of Annan was once the site of Roman camps and the workplace of the writer Thomas Carlyle. In honour of the Royal Charter bestowed by King James V, every year, the town celebrates with parades, massed pipe bands and competitions. Many small towns, villages, hamlets and stunning sandy beaches make up the area around the town. Further afield are the city of Glasgow, the abbeys of Melrose and Jedburgh, plus the northern part of the Lake District and Hadrian's Wall. Annan and the surrounding area are a perfect base, at any time of the year.

Grey Craig is a converted barn, finished to a very high standard. The cottage has oak floors through out. Lovely picture windows from the sitting room leading to the patio with patio furniture. A lovely master bedroom with views overlooking our private loch and rough conservation fields. A Single bedroom can sleep 2 with the addition of a pull up bed. The family bathroom has a walk in shower, and double ended bath. Grey Craig offers a very special retreat away from the farm, right in the heart of our conservation meadows, where otters, badgers roe deer foxes and many wild birds can be seen on a regular basis. A herd of Highland Cattle wander and graze past the cottage every day. A haven for peace and quite, wildlife photography or birds spotting. There are lovely guided walks around the farm and participation in the daily routine of the farm is welcomed. Riding round the farm on our Highland Ponies is also on offer. Complimentary free range eggs are supplied for your morning breakfasts. Sunday papers can be delivered. A very special place awaits you at Grey Craig, in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway where there is cycling, walking golf courses and the beach within 30 minutes of the cottage. Gretna Green the wedding capital of Scotland is only 10 minutes away by car. The nearest shops in Annan are only 5 miles away where there are the usual large supermarkets and market town shops.

The Tackroom holiday cottages is situated in a unique position, nestled between our own Distillery Stud, one of the largest privately owned national hunt studs in Scotland, and the Annandale Whisky Distillery, The First or Last in Scotland. Situated in the countryside, yet only 1 mile from Annan town centre. Open plan Kitchen/Dining/Lounge. Kitchen; Fully fitted with hob, oven, microwave, integrated large fridge/freezer,dishwasher and washing/dryer machine with lots of worktop space. Dining; Oak dining table and seating for 4; Lounge,Lounge area with leather seating for 5/6, large wall mounted flat screen freeview TV with BT Sport, with french doors leading onto decking area. Bedrooms 1 & 2; Both are fitted with twin beds or zip & link super king. Fitted wardrobes, with shelving, drawers and hanging, dressing tables flat screen TV/DVD's, radio alarm clocks and hair dryers. Bathroom; Double ended bath with shower head, large walk in shower with rainforest and second shower head, wc and basin with non slip tiles with underfloor heating. Outdoor; Large decking area with garden furniture for 6, gas barbecue and outdoor hot tub overlooking stream, open fields and surrounding woodland. There is also an enclosed courtyard with outdoor seating, outside tap and secure lockup for bicycles/motorbikes. All fuel/power bedlinen towels, Hot Tub, bathrobes and wi fi included. Stud Farm; Tours of the stud can be organised at certain times of the year. Fishing;- Salmon & Trout fishing on the nearby River Annan can be booked separately.
