Dunvegan Castle has been the home of the chiefs of the Clan MacLeod since 1270. It is also the home of the Fairy Flag which was given to a MacLeod chief by his fairy wife. The old Seagate in the outer wall surrounding Dunvegan Castle was once the only entry point to the Castle.
