Based in Fraserburgh the band has strong roots within the north east and support the North Of Scotland Branch of the RSPBA at both local and major competitions. Members are based in Fraserburgh and the surrounding area including St.Combs, Sandhaven, Rosehearty, Mintlaw, Cruden Bay and Tyrie.

Tour Scotland video of De La Salle Scout Pipe Band in the Highland Games Parade in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland. De La Salle Scout Group is one of the oldest, largest, most active and most successful Scout Groups in Ireland. De La Salle Scout Pipe band was founded on December 15th, 1933. After a short few months in training the band performed in public for the first time on May 15th, 1934 when it lead the scouts and the pupils of Stephen Street School to the annual Mass in the Cathedral in Waterford to mark St De La Salle's Day.

Tour Scotland Video Denny and Dunipace Pipe Band Highland Games Parade Pitlochry Perthshire




Tour Scotland video of Denny and Dunipace Pipe Band in the Highland Games Parade in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland. This pipe band based in Denny, near Falkirk. The band was established in 1964 by Captain John Deuchar and Roy Smith, who was the first Pipe Major. When in Grade 3A, the band took first place in the 2006 World Pipe Band Championships at Glasgow Green, and won the annual Champion of Champions for 3A. This resulted in promotion to Grade 2 for 2007. Since then, the band placed 2nd at the 2011 World Championships, winning the prize for best drum corps. In 2012, success has continued, with 2nd places at both the Scottish and British Championships, and 1st places at the European and World Championships. In 2012, the drum corps placed 1st at the Scottish, British and European Championships.

Tour Scotland video of City of Brechin Pipe Band in the Highland Games Parade in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland. The earliest record of any official connection between Brechin Town Council and bagpipe music is contained in the minutes of the magistrates on 20th June 1688 appointing John Wyslie to the post of Town Piper. The earliest record of a Pipe Band in Brechin is the formation in 1884 of a band to lead the local volunteer detachment, this band also took part in various local ceremonies related to the funeral of Queen Victoria and the welcome home to local men who served in the Boer War.

The Pitlochry & Blair Atholl Pipe Band was formed on 1st November 2004 by a group of local musicians intent on developing the Pipe Band concept to cover all Celtic music. In Feburary 2012 the Pipe Band secured sponsorship from The Edradour distillery, the local whisky distillery by Pitlochry, the band then changed its name to the Edradour Pitlochry & Blair Atholl Pipe Band.

Tour Scotland photograph of Invermoriston Bridge near Loch Ness, Scotland. The village's most visited attraction is the Thomas Telford bridge, built in 1813, which crosses the River Moriston falls. This bridge used to form part of the main road between Drumnadrochit and Fort Augustus but was replaced in the 1930s with a new bridge.

Kinrossie mercat cross, or market cross, now enclosed by railings, stands beside the public road at the centre of the village. It consists of a stepped plinth, a shaft and moulded head, in the form of a St Andrew's cross with each arm defined by a bowtell moulding and is surmounted by a ball-finial. The date 1686 is no longer visible.

Old photograph of Renton in Central Scotland. James Harrison was born in Renton in 1815 and emigrated to Australia in 1837. After several newspaper jobs, Harrison became the first editor and owner of the Geelong Advertiser in Victoria. In 1852 he set about installing what is generally accepted as the world's first refrigerated compressor.
